The Graham High School
When the high school enrolement became too big for this building that my grandfather designed for Granham, a new high school was proposed. The citizens of Graham wanted to keep the original building as much intact as possible so the new high school was built behind this building. A friend who attended classes in this building told me that this building is now sort of the back side of the school. Dorman Holub, Graham resident, sent me the newspaper articles below. He has helped me several times with information regarding Graham projects.
The Graham Hospital
The second Graham hospital was designed and built in 1933 on Cherry Street. The current hospital was built in 1957 and is five blocks away from the second hospital built in the 1930s. That building was torn down in the 1970s to build a nursing home. At this time, no photos have been located of the second Hospital designed by Wiley G. Clarkson. If you have a pre 1957 photo of the hospital, please send me an email as it is needed not only for this website, but by Graham historians.
